“Standing in the Truth”
Sally Wells comments, “Surrendering to Truth is a powerful act. It takes great courage to stand in the center of the fire and not shrink back, knowing what is of God will remain.” ❤️
“Standing in the Truth”
Reverend Ruth Barnhart comments, “What do we mean by surrender? What are we letting go of exactly? Do we really believe that we are part of one life, held in its perfect embrace? Let's join together into the practice and see what we find, who and what is left when we give up for the One Presence.” ❤️
“Claiming My Hammock”
Practitioner Graduate, Sylvia Gilmour comments, “It’s been said that pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. When we resist what’s happening, life doesn’t flow smoothly. When we have the courage to surrender and accept what our present reality actually is, we can then release what isn’t—allowing us to find the serenity and strength to choose responsible action in each situation.” ❤️
“The Spiritual Magic of Surrender ”
Retired Licensed Practitioner, George D’Amato will examine what we surrender to, why we surrender and the inevitable results of this paradoxical choice. ❤️
“Take Nothing Personally, Take Everything Personally”
As Reverend Ruth Barnhart notes, “In this world with a global pandemic, global warming, global power struggles, social injustice, and financial inequity, it is easy to want to find someone to blame. How do we deal with personal angst and helplessness? Is it appropriate to just ignore it and try to enjoy our own private lives? What are we actually responsible for? Let us take a giant leap into accountability and see where we land.” ❤️
“Accountability in Song”
Join us in a musical Sunday as Reverend Tanya Wyldflower and musician Danny Barca team up to explore 4 areas of Accountability: Self Honesty, Choosing Responsibility, Listening to Higher Source and Recognizing our Unity with each other~ what we do affects each other. ❤️
“From Victimhood to Accountability and Beyond”
Retired Licensed Practitioner, George D’Amato, will examine how and why we come to believe that we are victims, and how that robs us of accountability. He will provide a workable solution to this common problem and show the path that leads to Oneness. ❤️
“Accounting for What?”
Reverend Tanya Wyldflower notes: Our new theme for the month is Accountability. We approach this idea not as an obligation to be done because we are pressured to conform but as a sacred honor deeply needed by the All That Is ~ needed to meet the existential risks we are all facing today. The real question is ~ What is Yours to do? ❤️
“Perfect Moment, Perfect Day”
For a month we have been exploring thriving. So are you thriving now? What makes that so, or not? What do I need to do or who do I need to be to have a thriving life and to keep it thriving? ❤️
“New Thoughts on Thriving”
Would you like to receive the key to Thriving? Retired Licensed Practitioner, George D’Amato will present the irrefutable links between New Thought philosophy and thriving. If you would like the key - he will show you the link! ❤️
“NO Foe”
Practitioner Graduate Sylvia Gilmour’s talk is titled, “NO Foe”, and she comments: “What would it be like to live life knowing there is nothing and no one against us? What if we totally trusted that we are not on our own, that a greater power is always with us to give guidance and support?
Theoretical physicist Max Planck says: "When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." Let’s explore choosing to live life with no foe, allowing us to move from simply surviving to truly thriving.” ❤️
“What Helps Us Thrive?”
Reverend Tanya Wyldflower explores the concept of Thriving, knowing that we all have the same needs but how we access or express our unique being will be different for each person.” ❤️
“What makes for a thriving life?”
Reverend Ruth Barnhart inquires, “What makes for a thriving life? What are you wanting/needing in order to experience more fulfillment? Or maybe you could ask, what’s in the way? Discovering the truth that it is all in your mind.” ❤️
“Dancing From Darkness to Daylight”
The BAGMEN will present a spiritual, musical methodology on how to move past the physical and mental “gut-punch” so many of us experienced in 2020
and emerge feeling uplifted and renewed. The BAGMEN, aka Gary Michael Weinberg and Robert Greene, are no strangers to Mendocino Center for Spiritual Living. As in their other Sunday Service and Concert performances—THE HERO’S JOURNEY and 7 STEPS TO BEING A LIGHTWORKER—Weinberg and Greene will take the audience on a rockin’ ride, with some new songs and some familiar ones, all of it tied together by actor, writer and teacher Melanie Smith. ❤️
“Using Free Will”
Reverend Tanya Wyldflower comments, “Dr. Holmes states:Real freedom means that humanity is created in the image of perfection and let alone and allowed to make the discovery for ourselves. Freedom of will means the ability to do, say and think as one wishes; to express life as one personally desires. We are bound by our very freedom; our free will binds us. The very force that makes us sick can heal us.
We see, too, that freedom means liberty but not license.”
Let’s take a deep dive into what exactly is free will? ❤️
“Free Will Equals Freedom”
Caroline Cathey comments, “Free Will equals Freedom, the greatest Divine gift we receive other than unconditional love. Without the power to choose we would be merely puppets, but God entrusted us with free will so that we may explore and learn and experience the joy of our own creations. How do we use that spiritual power tool? Do we too often turn our power over to others? If so, why?” ❤️
“Who or What is Steering Your Ship?”
Reverend Ruth comments, “We are people who love to be ahead, to win, to know victory. We speak of empowerment, feeling powerful. But what are we truly seeking and what takes us there? What if what we think we are ~ is what is in the way? How do we actually become powerful?” ❤️
“Our Sacred Powers”
Reverend Tanya comments, “First I would like to wish all the men have been in a Fathering Role ~ Happy Father’s Day! And thank you for using your wisdom and power to make the world a more loving and safe experience for all you have come in contact with. You are appreciated. In this talk, we will look at the power we all have, when connected to Divine Wisdom, to move us all forward towards creating a world that works for everyone. ❤️
“What is Sacred Power- Mirage? or Reality?”
Carolyne Cathey asks, “What is Sacred Power? Mirage? Or Reality? We witness millions of people searching for empowerment from the tangible. Rejecting the intangible, they seek something they can see, touch and feel, baubles that dazzle their eyes and lure them to desire more. We experience that lust for ‘things’ and power in all levels, all ages, within every organization, including church, and often, within ourselves, but with no lasting satisfaction. Some speak of a Sacred Power that truly fulfills us. What is the difference? How do we embrace it?” ❤️
“What is Sacred Power?”
This month’s new theme is “Sacred Power” and Reverend Tanya Wyldflower will explore how Science of Mind utilizes Spiritual Power. Dr. Holmes defines it this way: There is a Power greater than we are, and everything that is visible is hitched to It -- an invisible Pattern, a Divine Pattern. All things come forth from It, and all things return again to It; and we are in It, and It responds directly to us personally at the level of our conviction that It is responding. ❤️
