Self-Care: Its Importance and Challenges
Jim Jackson, Licensed Practitioner student, will discuss the importance and challenges of self-care from the Science of Mind perspective. ❤️
Taking care, Being Care
Reveren. Ruth Barnhart, CSL Minister of Santa Rosa, asks: “Do I have to take care of myself in order to care for others? Is caring for myself a selfish act? Where is the balance, how do I know when I am neglecting myself or neglecting caring for others in my world? Is it possible that the spiritual life is about sacrificing ourselves in order to love and serve our world? Is there a road map, a list of things to do? Let’s explore the meaning of “love your neighbor as yourself.”
Motherhood, the Cradle of Self-Care!
George D’Amato, retired Science of Mind Practitioner, will highlight how the love of our mother can imprint us with unconscious self-care patterns that last for the rest of our lives…Until we find Science of Mind!
Reverend Gail’s Parts Class
Reverend Gail Johnson shares about her upcoming Parts class and asks for people to share why they come to MCSL, what they love about it, what they have learned, and how their life has changed, etc! ❤️
Vulnerability, Fear and Strategies
George D’Amato, retired Science of Mind Practitioner, will connect the dots between vulnerability, fear and the ways we cope with life.” ❤️
Softening Our Edges
Reverend Ruth Barnhart asks, “What is it to experience vulnerability? To have big feelings? To reveal our weaknesses or tender places? Is it something to attain or something to avoid? We will explore vulnerability in the context of our Science of Mind teachings. What does it say to us as spiritual beings on these human journeys?”
Hearts Wide Open
As Sylvia Gilmour notes, “Too often, fear of physical or emotional pain keeps us from fully being and expressing our joyful and loving selves. It takes courage to embrace risks, to be vulnerable, to open our minds and hearts, in order to truly love and be loved.” ❤️
Easter Celebration
George and Brigitta D’Amato (retired Science of Mind Practitioners) explore the origins of the Easter traditions and how vulnerability fits into those traditions.
Vulnerability - Weakness or Spiritual Power Stance?
Brigitta D’Amato (retired Science of Mind Practitioner) explores the origin of the word ‘vulnerability’ and the hidden and obvious advantages of being vulnerable.
“Touching the Unchangeable”
Reverend Ruth Barnhart says, “Half the globe is celebrating the growing light while the other half is preparing for increasing darkness. What season are you experiencing in your life? How do we navigate the ever changing seasons, especially if we seem out of sync with the world around us? How to meet the budding, blooming and wilting experiences on our journeys.” ❤️
“That Which Is Ready to Bloom...”
All are invited to join in a special Sunday Celebration Ceremony to honor the return of Spring with an Equinox meditation and sharing to bring to LIGHT that which is ready to BLOOM by growing into the reality you are ready to experience!! ❤️
“Blooming in the Body”
George D'Amato, retired Science of Mind practitioner, takes a "New-Thought" look at our relationship with the physical body. ❤️
“From Smallness to All-ness”
Reverend Tanya Wyldflower will address the question:
“How do we Bloom in our lives? What does it take to truly come alive and express the fullness of your self? What would that even look like?”
Come and explore this question with us. ❤️
“From Smallness to All-ness”
Sally Wells, SOM Teacher and Spiritual Director of the Well Spiritual Center in Mendocino shares her insights about living a fully passionate life.
How passionately are you actually allowed to live?
Brigitta D'Amato (retired Science of Mind practitioner) answers the questions: "Who or what is setting limits on our passionate life? Could it be that your passion (your Light!) is hidden under a bushel...?" ❤️
How to enhance passionate living through Spiritual Alignment!
George D'Amato (retired Science of Mind practitioner) will prove the irrefutable connection between the good life (the passionate life!) and the foundational tool of Spiritual Alignment. ❤️
Passionate Living
This Sunday, Reverend Tanya Wyldflower explores our theme of Passionate Living, leading us on a meditation and exercise of examining what is it each of us loves to do and experience in life. Asking, “What is it that brings you the most joy and brings you fully alive?” ❤️
To Have and To Have Not
This Sunday, Reverend Ruth Barnhart speaks on “To Have and To Have Not” stating, “The issues around or desire for abundance is what draws many to this metaphysical teaching. But what is the understanding presented by the great teachers? Why is there so much disparity of resources in our world and what is it we are called to do? Whether we find ourselves on either side of the experience of having, we have much to learn and our part matters. ” ❤️
Copious Confirmation
This Sunday, Practitioner Graduate, Sylvia Gilmour, explores the spirituality of Abundance - stating, “The nature of the universe is all encompassing abundance. It runs the full spectrum of what we welcome, or not. Being creative, our thoughts and actions generate our experience, whether affirming or denying what we desire. By paying attention, we see what we are confirming in our lives, then we can change if we choose.❤️
